When we started out as neighbours at No. 16 Fromer Road, all those years ago, Joyce and Cyril were always there to help and support. If there was anything that needed fixing in the house Cyril would be round with his black briefcase full of tools!! How many times I opened the door to see his smiling face and there was nothing he couldn't fix!

Over the years both Joyce and Cyril became more than just our neighbours but dear friends - almost as close as it gets to family. They have been there throughout most of Emma's childhood (we moved in when Emma was 18 months) and Sarah has grown up with them. 

We have so many happy memories - their trip to Malaysia - our visit to the Cameron Highlands. Cyril was a keen photographer and on the way to the Highlands we discovered Cyril had left his 'green bag' full of camera equipment in our apartment lift!! Luckily it was recovered and Cyril was able to see the funny side of it and we laughed about it endlessly throughout our trip

Cyril was a gentle, caring man and I never heard him utter a cross word in all the years we have known him. He will be greatly missed - used to love popping in to see both Joyce and Cyril with their weekly order of fresh fish and Cyril was always up from his chair to come and have a chat.

We have been so lucky to have known Cyril and had him in our lives - you will always be in our thoughts. Much love Joyce xx
